The earlier the better! 2-4 weeks is what we usually prefer, but if you plan on moving during our peak times which is summer, end of the month, or a weekend, please call us 4-6 weeks before your planned date.

Do I need to empty out my dressers when moving?

No. You can leave your clothing in your drawers. Your dressers will be padded shrink-wrapped and padded which will not only protect them while in transit, it will prevent the drawers from opening.

Is Tidal Town Moving licensed and insured?

Yes, we are fully licensed with the Public Utilities Commission of Virginia and we carry Cargo, Motor Vehicle, and General Liability Insurance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards. There is a 3% fee for credit card payments.

If I could give this company 1000 stars I would! The professionalism and care they provided during my move was outstanding. Bryce was so friendly and understanding when providing me with my estimate. This is mt 2nd time using Tidal Town. I highly recommend this company. They are very professional and straight forward. I appreciate their transparency and timeliness. Almost every single time I called, I could reach someone who was patient and informed about my move. It's way more personal than other larger companies where you reach a call center or vm all the time. Special shout out to Matt and Carlos for easing my stress for this longer distance move. From my first call to get a quote I was pleased. When movers Jarick and Justin P came out they were right on time even tho they came from Virginia Beach but Jarick really impressed me with his parking that big truck in the tiny space, they went right to work and they had their work was cut out for them, trying to get the sofa and love seat out my door and down the stairs was no easy task but they did it. They were very polite and friendly and worked so hard I will definitely use Tidal Town moving for any future moves and recommend them to family and friends.I hate moving but this was a great experience.Thanks Jarick and Justin P for all your hard work!!

Contacted Tidal Town to help move some equipment for the Neptune Festival Parade. As always, they were timely, cost effective, and very professional! Sean, Matt and Mitch helped us figure out how to safely move and mount large benches onto one of our floats. They made sure not to disturb any of the other equipment in the area and saved us time and effort! When it comes to moving equipment, furniture or even large items like these benches, don't take the risk of using untrained day labor. Do it right the first time by using Tidal Town Moving! We'll be using them again for our next project.

Absolutely loved working with Tidal Town. Breon, Carlos, and Steven were incredible!! Wish I could hire them as my personal moving team every time. My husband is deployed so I did this move by myself and it was very important for me to have people I trust in my home. They were professional, kind, and very hard working. The second they got to the house the started working and didn’t stop until everything was unloaded at the new house. I would recommend them 15/10 times and if we move again I will be going with tidal town. I’m so glad I didn’t go with the other movers I had a deposit with!
